2000-01-11: PS Type 1 Fontloader improved

As is known, Calamus SL99 has been developed to be capable of loading three different font systems: CFN, TTF (TrueType Fonts) and PS-Type-1-Fonts.

The PS-Type-1 Fontloader (PSTYPE1.CIF) contained a small bug. The error is corrected in the new version.

PS Type 1 Fontloader (Windows + Mac OS X): The changes in version 1.03 [2000-01-11]:

Fix: For a few Mac fonts the so-called POST Resource was wrongly interpreted. The affected fonts were either not loaded or given a wrong name.

Some people may have overseen the benefits to be gained by purchasing the module FonTools. With this module you can save your loaded PS-Type-1- (or TTF-) fonts in the CFN format. Additionally FonTools can function as a font-changer, able to transform PS-Type-1 (and TTF) fonts to the CFN format.

The PS-Type-1 fontloader is free to all SL99 users. Initially we will make it available as a download. Later it will be bundled with software orders. The improved version of our PS-Type fontloader can now be found in our download area.
