Today we announce another WindowsPack Update for Calamus SL2000. The last update (v2.6) introduced many great and new features which indeed needed some further bugfixing. Don't fool yourself — if you want Calamus on Windows, you have to go through Windows. And this is how the never ending trouble starts . . .
Changes in CALAMUS.EXE 2.7:
Windows Path Selector is supported now.
Windows File Selector handles file extensions correct now.
Scroll mice are supported in Calamus windows now.
Much faster reaction on mouse clicks.
Menues drop down immediately after mouse click now.
The Czech version uses the right codepage now.
The Non-3D-Mode now looks like the real Atari Classic Mode again.
Calamus allocates at least 32 MB RAM if the initialization of RAM in the dialog 'Calamus Parameter' went wrong.
Calamus.exe does not require processor time any longer if Calamus does not calculate anything.
Changes in CALAMUS.EXE 2.7.1:
TOS ACCessories and TOS Auto folder programs will be found and started only from the Calamus folder now.
Windows File Selector understands relative Calamus paths now.
The virtual drive Z: is no longer reserved now.
Changes in GDIPRN.DLL 2.2:
The Printer Parameters can only be adjusted in the Windows Printer dialog now again. Thus all printers can be adjusted correct again.
Landscape format works correct now in any case.
1,24,32 bitmaps are supported now.
A logfile will always be written to C:\GDIPRN.LOG now. The former GDIPRN_debug.dll is no longer required!
The original files Calamus.exe and gdiprn.dll from the CD installation have to be in your Calamus folder before you start the v2.71 update.
