2008-01-18: RTF-ImEx 4 Brings Many Enhancements (en)
RTF-ImEx (Import/Export RTF) is our Import/Export Driver for Rich Text Format, which has been developed by Microsoft as software-independent text exchange format. So you can save text documents from many applications and load them into Calamus text frames. Font styles, colors, footnotes and more features are supported. Of course you can also export Calamus texts into RTF format, e.g. to proceed the text in other applications, keeping the styles and attributes.
RTF-ImEx (Import/Export RTF) has been upgraded to Version 4.0 which is available as of today. We have added a variety of enhancements. See them below:
RTF-ImEx (Import/Export RTF): The changes in version 4.00 [18.01.2008]:
Nouveau : [206] On RTF import you can decide interactively which font should replace a not found font.
Nouveau : [484] RTF export writes color information, RTF styles and correct indentation. The RTF styles can be edited in RTF processing applications (like MS Word). You can e.g. exchange used Calamus fonts by existing Windows or Mac fonts there.
Nouveau : [209] The font exchange table (FET) or single font exchange definitions can be saved and loaded as .FET files.
Nouveau : [289] An RTF Preview driver (RTF.CPI) is shipped with RTF-ImEx and shows the pure text content of a selected .RTF file in the preview field of the Calamus file selector.
Nouveau : .FET files can be merged to already loaded FET.
Nouveau : Damaged Calamus fonts are marked red in the font exchange table dialog.
Nouveau : The driver's icon is shown even in the dialogs Import Text and Export Text.
Nouveau : File history of RTF-ImEx stores all .RTF, .FET and font paths and file names.
Nouveau : The driver settings are automatically saved.

And the best of all: RTF-ImEx no longer costs 89 EUR, but only 79 EUR. The upgrade from all former versions is only 39 EUR, the crossgrade from the outdated DMC RTF driver is only 69 EUR.
