2006-06-28: FonTools v2.12 and infos about Newsletter (en)

FonTools has been repaired again and is now available in version 2.12.

FonTools: The changes in version 2.12 [2006-06-28]:

Fix: Fonts which were selected in a font browser window, can be loaded again with a click on the function icon Load selected fonts.
New: [218] FonTools modules now read/write a module name dependent PAR file automatically instead of the fixed file name FONTOOLS.SET. The no longer required Load setup icon in the function group Font browser has been removed.
Fix: Only one FonTools module can be loaded at the same time.

All Calamus users who use Calamus SL2006 and FonTools v2.x, will find the free update in My Calamus (see below).

Just a word about our Newsletter ...

Calamus users request sometimes why we send these tiny news which report updates for just a single module. They would like to see these news bundled. Please allow us to make three remarks on this topic:

Like most Calamus users, we are very glad today to be able and use the Internet for faster updates on our single products. You don't have to wait longer on corrections. Almost immediately after a function has been fixed or implemented, you can download the standard modules updates from their public download pages resp. get your additional modules updates from My Calamus. Just for Calamus we collect issues as the freshup releases for Calamus are larger and require more work.
Use the filter functions of your favorite mail program in order to push our Newsletter mails into a separate folder. This helps recognizing news in the daily mass of mails and junk. And you can read our information later at a time of your choice from this news folder.
As of today, you can adjust our Calamus Newsletter in order to send news in single mails or rather in a weekly digest. Just call the Calamus Newsletter info page and adjust the Newsletter to your needs.
