Here you find all information and details about the progress in Calamus SL2003 since the last main release, Calamus SL2002 (R5) . Calamus SL2003 is available since September 2003. For the first time, Calamus SL2003 will be available for download, too!
Calamus SL2003 bases on the successful SL2002 and contains new items, changes and even many important bugfixes.
Important: The native enhancements in Calamus SL2003 are not available for pure TOS users. If you see the prefix Win or MMX in a described feature, then this feature is available in Calamus SL2003 WinPack or with Calamus SL2003 under MagicMacX in Mac OS X (10.2 or higher) only.

New: Win/MMX: Calamus offers a native colour separation and screen calibration, basing on ICC profiles.
New: The Colour dialog shows value units for the colour systems (RGB 0-255, CMYK %, IHS °) and shows an Internet colour value field for web designers.New: Win: A double click on Calamus documents (CDK) and Calamus setup files (SET) now launches Calamus.New: The Calamus file selector shows a folder history in addition to the file history (kind of Favorites ).

The Calamus file selector is used by default. If you want to use a system file selector, you can switch to it in the System Parameters module.
Fix: Colour palettes are now sorted in alphabetical order in the Colour dialog's popup menu.Fix: Negative Text Flow values in manual Text Flow are evaluated correctly now.Fix: When switching layer visibility, automatic text flow now longer causes problems with layers which were invisible.Fix: The name of a printer driver which was selected via the autolocator, is now correctly saved in the SET file.Fix: The [+] index for spot colours in the Print dialog is now inverted again if at least one spot colour is selected for output.

New: Calvin is now part of the standard package! Colour separation (see above) on Atari compatible computers cannot use the ICC profiles, but pure Atari users can now use the Calvin colour screen calibration module in 256c mode instead. Furthermore, Calvin offers paper colour simulation and duplex/triplex print calibration.
Document Doctor (DOCTOR.CXM)1.95 [2003-10-01]
Fix: Recognizes more errors, including wrong layer links.

Text Style (STYLE.CXM)6.00 [2003-10-01]
New: SL2003 version.New: Smart Mode simplifies things: When assigning text style attributes from the first seven function groups, only the attributes in the affected function group will be changed in the marked text block or the whole text.
Example: In a text frame, you have used 25 different font faces in 34 different sizes and 12 colours. – When you define a colour and distance for a text shadow in the Shadow function group and click on Change text style , all found text styles will get the new shadow attributes after a security question. All other attributes will stay intact.
